Overview

A black and white photograph of a group of ladies taken at a tennis court of a house, believed to be on the corner of Townshend and Roberts Roads, Subiaco. Details of the house can be seen behind the ladies and is believed to be Stranraer.
In the photograph, four women are standing behind the tennis net, and three are kneeling in front of the net. All are wearing white outfits and holding rackets.
On the reverse is a handwritten note: 'Back row L-R. M Mabel Pell - Win Arcus - Lena Mudie - Janet Pell. Front Row. Lucy Cadman - Queenie Chugg - Amy Mudie.

Historical information

Although the photograph date is unknown, Lucy Cadman lived between 1902 and 1939. Based on these dates and the shape of the rackets, the photograph is believed to have been taken in the 1920s or early 1930s.
