c. 1900The photograph shows a young boy wearing a suit with knickerbockers, a belted jacket, socks and buttoned boots. His shirt has an Eton collar and he wears a tie and a hat. He carries a long, thin switch in his right hand. He is mounted on a dark pony with a pale mane and tail. There is a picket fence and a tree in the background.
Handwritten on back: 'From Pat to Ada. Miss A. Holtfreter, Shaw Street, Coolgardie, W.A.' Handwritten by donor: 'over 60 years old.' Written on back of copy: 'Thought to be Pat Holtfreter'. NOTE: Large copy missing June 2018
