The oval contains the words, “Issued by Dept of Defence / To Women of Australia”. Beneath is a blue enameled scroll with the words, “For Duty Done”. Stamped on underside of badge, “W McLeans & Co / Melb / STG SIL / 14403”, and stamped on bar, “132501”.
The Female Relative Badge was issued to Annie DENNEY, the mother of two sons on active service during the First World War at Gallipoli. The bar suspended underneath the badge indicates additional relatives on active service.
