Contextual information

In June 1915 the East Perth Football Club had a commemorative medallion struck to acknowledge the landing of Australian's at the Dardanelles. The medallions were sold by members of the ladies’ committee at various football matches. The funds raised went to the War Distress and Wounded Soldiers’ Funds.
