Perth Waters

c. 1930
Overview

Scene taken from a vantage point overlooking the developed area near the Perth foreshore. On the left is a substantial dark building of several storeys with decorative chimneys and a steeple. Next to it is the rear view of a lighter four storey building followed by roofs and pediments of other buildings, including that bearing the sign [DALGETY & CO.LTD.] and several flags.

Between these buildings and the river are a line of cotton palms. On the Esplanade is a fenced area for tennis courts, a bowling green, a pavilion and a quoits area. Behind is a cricket pitch and players. Trees border Riverside Drive. There are jetties and boat sheds at the water's edge.
