1952 Claxton Shield badges
Three 1952 Claxton Shield badges. Two of the badges are metal stick pins. One stick pin is round and silver-coloured with a dark blue inner border containing the words 'Australian Baseball Championship', with 'Perth 1952' on a white baseball in the centre. The second stick pin is shield-shaped with a gold-coloured border and 'Perth 1952' on a dark-blue background with two crossed baseball bats and baseball. A pale-blue band with the words 'Claxton Shield' lies diagonally across the badge. The third badge is a round dark-blue felt material patch with a pale blue inner circle representing a baseball and 'N.S.W.' in pale-blue indicating it is a New South Wales team badge.
The 1952 Claxton Shield was the 13th annual Claxton Shield and was held in Perth, Western Australia. The participants were South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. The series was won by the home team, Western Australia.
