Overview

In the background are two men with forks standing on stacks of chaff. They will feed the chaff into a chaff cutter which is being powered by a Steam Tractor which in turn is being powered by wood, piles of which can be seen on the left hand side of the picture. Besides the two men on the chaff stack are four men standing or sitting on the chaff cutter, alongside of the right hand chaff stack are five men and two ladies. In front of the steam tractor are two men.

Historical information

Pat Garrity's chaff cutting plant on the farm Coompatine, which was where the original homestead of the Haddleton family was built.
