1970The black & white photo features the old Maitland's Bakery at 5 Raphael Street, a brick building with stepped gable and corrugated iron roof. The side of buildings shows exposed bricks, the front is plastered and whitewashed, with a double door with overhang, and a rectangular window in the gable above. To the right of the door is a large 'Coca Cola' sign, and left is a large sign in capital letters reading 'Federation of W.A. Police and Citizens' Youth Clubs (Inc.). Subiaco' Small brick cottages are on either side of the building and cars and a utility are parked in the street outside. The Subiaco PCYC was formed in 1912, and originally housed in West Theatre, Hay St, Subiaco from 1912 to 1941, when they moved into the old bakery building in Raphael St. Finally the club moved in 1974 to the current location at 450 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco.
