A sepia photograph of a woman sitting in a chair on a verandah. The image is on light cream cardboard. The woman is dressed in a dark long sleeved blouse which has a broach at chest level and a long dark skirt. There is a long chain around the woman's neck which tucks into the woman's skirt. The woman is holding a book in her lap. Her hair is tied up in a bun.

Jane Garrity was the daughter of Thomas and Alice Haddleton.
