A sepia photograph of an Auctioneer and his offsiders in action at a saleyard, they are standing on a wooden board above the sheep pens. In the foreground are men in coats, suits, and hats who are bidding for the pen of particular sheep.

The yards are all wooden. The pens are full of sheep, in the foreground are the people putting in bids to buy the sheep.
