1917 - 1919A small black and white photograph showing a landscape of tall trees and palms on a lawn. The trees are casting large shadows on the lawn. There is a white border surrounding the image which has a brown mark down the right-hand side. The reverse of the image has the proforma printing of part of a postcard and an inscription. There are several marks on the card.
Esbekiah Gardens in central Cairo was a popular recreational area for British and Anzac soldiers.
