WASHER CUTTER

1926 - 1938
Overview

Rectangular bar cross piece, a larger square proturbence with a vertical rectangular slot to accommodate the cutter blade, with the depth adjusted by a locking thumb screw which is broken off. It has a horseshoe nail wedged in to lock it instead.
The centre part is square with a rectangular slot to fit over and move along the cross bar. This was positioned by a thumb screw which broke off and is also locked by a piece of horseshoe nail. Below the slot is a point around which the cutter is rotated by a wooden ''tee'' handle above. There is a globe stamped on the side of the complete nail near the head.
