1937The black and white photo shows the official party dining at the opening of Metters' new Wembley factory in 1937. The group of men and one woman are seated at a trestle table covered with a cloth and showing flowers, cups and plates, bottles and small cakes. Two women and two men stand in the background. A flag with a cross - St. George - hangs from the open rafters next to a Union Jack. The walls and roof of the factory are of corrugated iron. The table and chairs are the only pieces of furniture on the factory floor.
