An A3 size full colour glossy poster featuring the use of H. M. Burton’s 1915 “A call from the Dardanelles” recruitment poster. The background has been altered to represent the terrain of King George Sound and Princess Royal Harbour, with the digger’s feet over the channel entrance; one on Point Possession, the other near Semaphore Point.

Historical information

Albany’s Australian Military Tattoo was a week-long event held in various locations around Albany. The tattoo itself was held on Saturday 21st March 1992 at Collingwood Park with numerous participants such as: Australian 13th Infantry Brigade, 12/28th Battalion Royal Western Australian Regiment, 10th Light Horse Regiment, Band of the 5th Military District, 5th Military District Army Reserve Band, 5th Military District Pipes and Drums, WA Australian Naval Band, WA Police Pipe Band, 7th Field Battery, RAAF Flight Training School WA No. 2, Chung Wah Lion Dance Troupe, Military Vehicles Section of the Veteran Car Club of WA, Volunteer Rifle & Artillery Regiment 1860, Te Arohanue Maori Culture Club, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, and Albany Light Horse.
