Matron Annie Doorty who was employed at Sunshine Holiday Home.
Matron Doorty came to Sunshine Holiday Home in 1932. During the winter months she remained there without salary - being paid 15/- per week for food.
Matron Doorty resigned in April 1942 to take charge of the children evacuated from the city to Dangin Hostel due to threat of war. Dangin is a small rural town seven kilometres south west of Quairading.
