DRESS: WEDDING GOWN, CREAM LACE WITH GIRDLE AND SILK SLIP
1936a) Wedding gown worn by Mary Thomas nee Craig who was married on 24.10.1936 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Salvado Road, Subiaco. The dress is cream full length Chantilly lace with train, long fitted sleeves. Cowl collar effect, front bodice. There are shirrings and gatheres on the top of the neckline. The train is long and full.
b) Cream satin girdle with glass pieces at each end set with 9 cut glass gemstones - all missing except 2.
c) Cream silk and satin slip, full length. Triangular insert of cream lace in front bodice. Edge of front bodice, left side stitched back with blue thread.
The wedding invitation and newspaper report of the wedding are in Museum - 2001-14 [a,b,c]. The donor was the bride's relative (possibly daughter).
