SHEEP BELL AND YOKE
A) Bell.. The body of the bell is made from single sheet of folded metal joined at the sides by braising and a rivet at each side. It has a tongue made from a piece of wire and a nut and has a handle made from flat metal inserted in the top.B) Two leather straps, one has two holes, possibly made from an old belt,probably of later date than the bell and yoke. One strap is marked CSON on inner surface, the other is marked ER on inner surface. Two hand whittled wooden pegs hold the straps in place. C) Wooden yoke has two slots for straps, decorated with three four petalled stylised flowers on upper surface.
