Verandah of store with sign on front and on the return [W.DRABBLE LTD HARDWARE MERCHANTS]. Awnings to windows of upper floor. Two storey building on north with sign [BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES] below enclosed upper verandah. On the right, entrance to laneway to side exit from picture theatre and picture gardens (now developed as Old Theatre Lane). Two United Buses parked in front of Drabbles, people looking out of bus windows. Four men beside buses. H. Mercer, Drabbles' manager, bus driver in white coat and 2 men in creams, blazers and cricket caps.

Historical information

Lane on right of photo was an exit from side of picture theatre and gardens, later developed as Old Theatre Lane.
