West Perth Baseball Club has had a long history. Originally since its inception in 1936 it was the Wests Baseball Club, for many years one of the State's leading clubs. It had won A grade premierships in 1936, 1937, 1939 and B grade pennants in 1949 and 1953.
In 1954 Wests purchased its own four-acre ground at Morley Park but to do so, had to become an incorporated body. In 1955, after incorporation, it changed its name to the West Perth Baseball Club Inc.
