Pewter tankard presented to G.H. Dunstan of the Press Baseball Team, 1938 West Australian Baseball League Premiers. Inscription engraved on side of tankard. Manufacturer's details stamped on base.
The Press Baseball Club was formed in 1938 with G.H. (Glen) Dunstan named as captain and A. (Alex) Barras as vice-captain. In the team's inaugural season they won the 'A' grade premiership and this pewter mug was awarded to Glen Dunstan.

The tankard was donated by Glen Dunstan's family.
This rare item has historic and social significance as a trophy given to the premiership captain of one of the inaugural Western Australian baseball clubs in their first year of competition. It is in good condition and has excellent provenance.
