This is an interview with Walter John Lord talking about growing up on the family farm in Walsall near Busselton. He talks about his farming career and the volunteering that he has and still is participating in.

Historical information

Walter John Lord (known as Wally) was born in Busselton in July 1949 and was raised on the family farm at Walsall near Busselton. He mentions his parents Hilda and Geoffrey Lord and their community involvement.
He married Catherine Reynolds and has three children Amanda, Meagan and John.

Wally relates his involvement in many community organisations and the positions he held.

In January 2022 Wally was awarded an OAM (Order of Australian Medal) ‘For service to the community through a range of organisations.

Wally is a very friendly person who enjoys talking to people and being involved in Community Affairs. He is still volunteering for local groups and has made a huge contribution to Busselton and Districts and other statewide organisations over the years.
