Modern house on small, narrow block. High white wall separating house from neighbour and front garden from street. Wide steps leading to doorway in arched porch. Windows or doors to enclosed garden. Dormer window in steep roof almost obscured by street tree. White car parked at the kerb.

Historical information

William Caxton has been described as 'the father of English printing'. He is thought to have been the first person to introduce the printing press to England in 1476 and the first to produce a book printed in the English language. He has a street named after him in London and this perhaps influenced the decision to name Caxton Street as part of the Claremont Bay View Estate advertised in 1896.
