POSTCARD: 'BIRTHDAY JOYS', JIM AND LILLIAN DENNIS COLLECTION

1929
Overview

From a collection of birthday postcards sent to Lillian by her husband James (Jim).
Front: 'Birthday Joys' and a red rose. There is an image of a cow in the top left corner and a girl with a bouquet of roses in the bottom right. There is a poem on the lower left.
Reverse: Phil Co Post Card. Handwritten message reads
'To my Wife Lil From her Husband Jim With all my Love. 17th October 1929. This is your 21st regular birthday card on your 42nd year.
Half your life has passed you see,
but you still receive a card from me,
My love has always been the same,
Since first into my life you came.
If Fortune's Smile is love that is true
He sent his greatest gift by you.
You've never had to doubt my dear,
My love for you has been sincere.
And may we ever while life shall last
Continue as happy as in the past.'
