Overview

The camera is a rectangular box, slightly longer than wide and/or tall. The front cover is detachable and has the lens assembly centrally located and two viewfinders, either side at the top.

There is a view finder top left and another on the right side to allow a wider image to be viewed. Below this and near the bottom is the shutter release.

Mid point along the same side near the base is the film wind on knob.

Top left on the back of the camera a red window to view the film number.

A carry strap is fixed by two lugs centrally on the top surface which has engraved text.

Historical information

Kodak Brownie Junior Six-16 camera used by Wally Smith, a volunteer at History House, from the 1970s to the mid 1990s to take personal photographs. It was second hand when he acquired it.
