Photo of the Dowerin Town Hall.
The old Dowerin Town Hall was a weatherboard building with an imposing classical facade. On Saturdays the shops were open all day, and in the evening on alternate Saturdays the town hall was the venue for either a dance or the pictures. Women and children from farms could use the Country Women's Association rest rooms to change their clothes.
