Mary Couper's pedal organ
The organ has a full keyboard and a lift up led, with bellows inside worked by foot pedals. When the Couper family arrived at Dowerin Lakes for the first time in 1898 to be reunited with two brothers of Miss Mary Couper, Miss Couper recalled that the only things unloaded from the cart that night were the bedding and this organ. Miss Couper further recalled: 'It was a beautiful summer evening, with a full moon and perfectly calm. we all gathered around the organ and made the forest ring with old songs.
