Bay View Radio Centre
1974Bay View Radio Centre on the east side of Bay View Terrace, Claremont showing the footpath and shop fronts. On the left is double glass door and striped verandah blind of Freecorns. In the centre is the new premises for B.Lang [Bay View RADIO CENTRE/ Coming SOON]. A cycle shop [PHILCO CYCLES] and part of the Pennywise Gift shop sign on the right. Signwriting from Saunders Menswear on the opposite side of the road is reflected in the two shop windows.
Mr B Lang , in partnership with Frank Lambert, opened a radio repair business, Lambert & Lang, at 35 Bay View Terrace, Claremont in 1944. Mr Lang changed the name of the business and moved into the northern section of Furniss Building at 41 Bay View Terrace in 1950. In 1973 the business moved to 14 Bay View Terrace.
