Overview

This clear glass plaque was presented to MGGC by Singapore reciprocal club Seletar Country Club during their visit to Melville Glades in 2016.

At the top of the plaque is the Seletar club emblem in full colour followed by words in black stating, in part:

“In commemoration of the inter-club friendly golf game … on 22 May 2016”. The shape of the plaque could be construed as a flame.

The plaque is mounted on a rectangular shaped black glass base.

A black cardboard box lined with gold satin cloth houses the plaque.

Statement of significance

Condition: The base supporting the plaque has undergone repairs after it was dropped. Some lettering from the Seletar emblem on the plaque has also been lost in that process.
