Overview

Photograph, on card mount, of members of the Subiaco Croquet Club 1938-39. There are 75 people, mainly women in day dress and hats, together with a few men in suits. The club house is in the background and there are four balls on the lawn in the foreground. This photo was either owned by Mrs Powell (former owner/occupier of the house at 6 Union Street, Subiaco) or Mrs Mary Alice Beard, who purchased this house c. 1960. The Subiaco Croquet Club was located in the Nicholson Road Reserve (between Thomas Street and Rokeby Road) from c.1900 until the 1980s.
