This nurse's cape was worn by the donor, Mrs Merle Gloria Teal (nee Woodward). She was a District Midwife in Glasgow and also Belfast between 1949-1971. Merle moved to Busselton and continued working as a Midwife Registered Nurse (1972-1991). She believes that she had delivered thousands of babies during her time as a Midwife.
