Model of "Weir" Steam Pump
Miniature model of a weir - single cylinder double acting Steam pump. It is made from metal with a rectangular wooden base. It is green, silver and metallic.
This is a model of the Weir single cylinder double acting steam pump. The original pump (of which this is a model) which was engineered by G and J Weir Ltd of Glasgow, in the late 19th Century. They were originally used as standard boiler feed pumps for shipboard services and also used on the land.

It has a wooden stand in from of the model with a paper label which says "Model of a Weir. Single cylinder Double acting steam pump"
This model, made by Henry Bumstead, is an example of 19th century technology which may have been used in both maritime and land transport.
