Overview

Black plastic moulded body with eye viewer with soft cap around edge at the top. At front cylindrical 20x lens with white text. On top of lens is a colour sticker outlining camera functions. Lens cap attached by looped string. Right side of camera moulded to make holding with right hand easier and has the grey shutter button on the top for ease of access by right pointer finger
On the back of the camera is a viewer screen and assorted function buttons and switches. Attached to each side near the top is a grey, black and blue strap with white text.
Yellow, green and blue with white text sticker with text on top near shutter button outlining key camera functions. Above this is white text about camera functions.
On the right side is a slot for 3.5 inch floppy disc to be inserted for image storage.
On the base on the right side is a slot with a hinged lid where the rectangular battery is placed

Historical information

This digital camera was purchased by Linton Reynolds who was a councillor with the City of Armadale (1989-2011) and later Mayor (2001-2011) in c2000. He used the camera through to 2008 to take photographs of the City of Armadale for use in presentations he did to other WA and national local governments which promoted the growth of the COA and projects the COA council was involved in. Linton also used the camera to record information during visits to other local governments in WA when he was a member of the WALGA Grant Commission in the early 2000's

Provenance: Was purchased by Cr Linton Reynolds who used the camera from c2000 to 2008 to take images of the City of Armadale that were used in various presentations in Western Australia and other Australian states to promote the City of Armadale. Was also used when Linton was COA Mayor (2001-2011) during WALGA Grant Commission visits to local governments around WA.
Representativeness: The new freedom digital technology provided to people to easily record and then use digital photography to promote and easily record experiences and information.
