2017A three piece sculpture titled 'MATRIARCHS; PAPER NAUTILUS #5 - OTOSHIANA: DROP HOLE NANNA'S GIFT'.
Made from deconstructed textiles and other materials with all colour removed, the artist uses moulds, strengthening solution and armature to create texture and form in these white 3D sculptures. Paper making techniques, stitching using free form lace work and the Japanese fashion style -Otoshiana: the drop hole.
Artist statement: ' Referenced through the paper nautilus 'grandmother to grand daughter she passes on her precious secrets nurturing the bloodline with fragile connections and the strength of motherhood'.
