Across the road are buildings, a hill of trees behind and the cattle yards in front of them on the road.

Writing on reverse of photo reads: '1964 Cattle Yds Railway St, opp General Store Mrs Scharf.'
It is believed the Scharf store operated during the 1960s and 1970s from 92 Stirling Terrace, Toodyay and was originally built in the 1850s as a Pensioner Guard cottage for James Smith. In 2022 the Toodyay Herald operates from these premises.
