Historical information

Owner Barbara Van Onselen (nee Webster) was born in Subiaco and lived in Gloster Street for all her childhood. This bear was companion to Tonsie, Barbara's favourite bear. The bear's clothes were probably knitted by Barbara's grandmother using Paton's wool. Barbara married twice but had no children. A photograph of Barbara, as a child, with the bear has also been donated.
