Framed print of original painting by Australian war artist Harold Septimus Power showing artillery going into action before the Battle of Ypres, with soldiers on horseback pulling heavy artillery across a field, and others loading a field gun.
Wooden frame, gold coloured bevelled edge passepartout over woodgrain mat board, perspex covered.
A gold coloured metal label is affixed to the centre bottom edge of the frame with metal pins, indicating possibly that this is the original frame for this print.

The artist of the orginal work this print has been reproduced from is Harold Septimus Power (1877-1951)
In 1917 Power was appointed official war artist with the Australian Imperial Force, with the honorary rank of lieutenant. His skills as an animal painter were apparent in such paintings as 'The First Divisional Artillery goes into action before Ypres July 31st 1917' which was acclaimed at the Royal Academy in 1919.
