LUCAS, GEORGE WITH HORSE
c. 1915B/W fading to sepia print of George Lucas in three piece suit and felt hat, cigarette in mouth, holding horse by the bridle. Dog partly obscured by horse's front legs, is curled up against decorative picket fence. Fence and trees obscuring weatherboard building in background.
Photo thought to have been taken in Shenton Road Claremont near corner of Elliott Road, where there were stables which later became a riding school. Horse would have been used in his carrying business and to plough land to grow fodder.
