Historical information

The shop with the vaulted roof was a fruit merchant's, now the site of Bovell's (1985). This photograph was taken before Mr Lucas moved to fruit shop in Bay View Terrace, Claremont WA). Photograph was probably taken by Tom McLerie, proprieter of Imperial Studio which, along with a billiard saloon, was situated down a passageway leading off Bay View Terrace eastern footpath close to where photo was taken.
