George Lucas With Horse And Harrow
c. 1915George Lucas in dark trousers, light shirt with sleeves rolled, cloth cap and a pipe in mouth, holding a dark horse with collar and harness attached to harrow. A close picket fence behind an open picket fence border a lane. In the background are stable buildings and trees.
Photograph thought to have been taken in area off Shenton Road and Elliott Road behind stables which later became a riding school run by Frank Wise. The cap was brought from England and earned him the nickname "Pommie George".
