Historical information

The WA Pensioners League, originally known as the Invalid and Old Age Pensioners’ Association, was founded in 1933 in Perth. It aimed to articulate the interests of the elderly and facilitate the delivery of necessary services. Over the years, it evolved into the Australian Pensioners’ League and later became Retirees WA Inc in 2002. The organization has played a significant role in advocating for the rights and needs of seniors in Western Australia, building a strong tradition of community service and support.
