PHOTOGRAPH (COPY): PORTRAIT OF FOUR SOLDIERS IN UNIFORM, CIRCA 1914
c. 1914Black and white copy of an image of four soldiers in uniform (without hats), circa 1914. Rising Sun badges can be seen on the collars of the young mens' uniforms. The original image of which the copy was made is damaged, with the bottom right corner appearing to have been detached. The light blue cutting board surface that the image was rested on can be seen to the left of the image.
The original large photographs were found in the loft of a house in Subiaco that used to be a photographic studio. Attempts were made to identify the photographer and subjects without success. Perhaps the photos were never collected by the subjects. Uniforms are 1914, so probable that rest of photographs of this era. All copy photographs show bad condition of original, marks, edges missing.
