A sepia photograph taken from a bridge looking down a river.

Historical information

Gweneth Harcourt had a photograph business in Albion Street, Katanning. Photograph was very new and it was not usual for a women to have her own business. She may have been the first woman in Katanning to have her own business. The business was not active for very long and Gweneth married a local farmer, Thomas Anderson in 1936. Gweneth became very active in community organisations.
