Historical information

This item was acquired from the Armadale Aquatic Centre before renovations were started in 2017. The Centre was opened in December 1980. The resusitator was part of a set of first aid equipment located at the Aquatic Centre for use whould there be an emergency such as a drowing. The resuscitator would be used to provide oxygen to someone after they had the water cleared from their lungs. In the 37 years that the Aquatic Centre operated it was never needed as there were no drowing or near fatal drownings.
