Souvenir - Drinking Glass with decimal coin currency
1966Clear glass tumbler with a white transfer showing decimal coin currency and equivalents in pre-decimal currency. . The glass has straight sides and a slightly fluted pattern around its base.
Australia initiated the change to decimal currency in 1963, and it was officially introduced on 14th February 1966. A publicity campaign was undertaken in the print media, radio and television. A range of products were issue to commemorate the event and assist the public, including currency convertors, coin sets and souvenirs.

1 cent = 1 penny
2 cents = 2 pennies
5 cents = 6 pence
10 cents = 1 shilling
20 cents = 2 shillings
50 cents = 5 shillings
