PLAQUE, TOWN of ALBANY C1970
c. 1975A shield-shaped sheoak wooden plaque with the Town of Albany crest mounted in the centre. The crest is circular and topped with the Town of Albany coat of alms. Around the outer edge are the words Town of Albany Incorporated 1851.
The town motto, "Defensive not Offensive," on a narrow scroll separates the central field of the crest. Above the scroll is a maritime view looking out through the entrance to Princess Royal Harbour to King George Sound, coloured in blues and greens.
Below the scroll, a cream crescent-shaped field dived in half, with a mull-board plough and crossed pick and shovel on one side and a steam locomotive and bales of wool on the other.
