Inside front cover inscription reads: The gift of Mrs Henby to Robert Gamble 1840. Written underneath in blue ink Sea Captain, came from New Zealand to Australia in open boat. Inscription on last two pages 1st page reads: Dec. 26 1864 Mr Robert Gamble was on Breakse(sic) as Light House Keeper. William Searle, born at Hesniock, near Wellington, December 1831, 1831 "Devonshire old England" 2nd page reads: Martha born Dec. 5th 1835, x John born March 10th 1837. Robert born April 5th 1838, x Isabella born Feb. 8th 1839, Nancy born Nov. 5th 1844, Emma born August 9th 1853, John born February 22nd 1860. Lower inscription reads: First Child of Benjamin and Emma Davis girl Mary Jane Davis born April 8th 1870 Albany, Daniel Davis born on the 29th of April 1872. 669 pages.
