Overview

A black and white photograph of a brick building which has a verandah with signage of the name of the business and the goods that are sold. The top of the façade has the building name which is "THE ARCADE". On the verandah the signage from left to right reads "TH HOUSE FOR EVERYTHING" "SMITH & MELDRUM" "PRODUCE MERCHANGS & GENERAL DEALERS".
There is a bicycle leaning against one of the verandah posts, and outside the shop are displays of goods that can be bought. None of the goods are chained together.
