Historical information

The woman that Adelaide has sent the postcard to was mostly likely Aileen Elizabeth (Lizzie) Garrity. The postcard was with other Garrity family photographs. Items 2025.14 to 2025.21 were wrapped in item 2025.22

Inscriptions and markings

On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is “TARJETA POSTAL POST CARD BILHETE POSTAL” and below this line "POSTKARTE CARTE POTALE LEVELEZO-LAP. ", then "UNION POSTAL UNIVERSEALE". Below this last line the card has two columns and above the left hand column is "COMMUNICATION" and above the right hand column is the heading 'ADDRESS ONLY”.

Handwritten in black ink on the back of the postcard is "To Lizzie With Love From Adelaide 1st Prize Katanning Rink 1911".
