On the bottom tier of the cake in icing reads "Methodist Ladies Guild". On the pillar there is a icing square which reads "Mrs Rogers 40 years age".
On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Katanning Methodist Ladies Guild 40th Anniversary Cake made by Mrs Sibley and decorated by her mother Mrs Stonestreet 27th Sept. 1946"
