Katanning Post & Telegraph Office
c. 1905A sepia photograph of a double gabled brick and tin roof building. At the front sides of the building are wooden picket fences and on the right hand side there is a small wooden shed with a tin roof. Either side of the open doorway are two men and either side of them are two younger men on bicycles. Between the roof gables is a sign which reads "POST & TELEGRAPH".

On the front of the postcard in white typed lettering is " Post Office, Katanning".
On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for the right hand column of "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "AFFIX STAMP" in the square. On the left vertical side of the postcard in black lettering is "Printed in Saxony".
On the back of the postcard handwritten in red ink is "1900" and stamped in purple ink is "W.A. HISTORICAL SOCIETY KATANNING BRANCH"
Note: The small shed at the front is a Telephone Box.
